Homeowners insurance is financial protection against disasters. Standard policies insure the home and the items in the home.
A package policy covers both the damage done to the property and your liability for any injuries and property damage you, your family or pets may cause to other persons property.
Damage from most disasters is covered with the exception of flood, earthquake and poor maintenance in which a separate policy is need. All maintenance problems are at owner’s expense.
